Weekly summary
11/1- 11/2:
We completed our Short Stories and shared them with peers
We read the reader's theater version of "Frankenstein" in class.
I just want to say, GREAT JOB on those Short Stories. I was really impressed by the amount of time and effort my students put forth into their creative narrative writing projects. I really enjoyed the time we had together sharing our scary stories as well as time spent revising and editing them. Keep up the great work, students!
11/5-11/9:
We took our second practice FCAT writing test. (expository essay)
We learned about types of figurative language including:
Hyperbole
Symbolism
Similie
Metaphore
Personification
We practiced creating each type of figurative language (11/7) together in class.
